How will the Blues be affected by the departure of Jude Bellingham?

Speculation had been building over the course of the season regarding the young and high regarded Jude Bellingham and then the inevitable happened – with ColBorussia Dortmund completing the signing of Bellingham for a reported £25 million but without the young, talent, where does the re-build begin?

There is no doubt that Jude will be missed, having made his debut for the England U15’s at just 13 years old, he attracted some of the world’s largest clubs knocking on our door to secure the teenagers signature. Now he has left, Blues are going to have to take a gamble using the money secured for him and re-invest in the team. The markets and likely to prove attractive amongst punters, who have also been busy on these no gamstop casinos at Max Casinos. The platform has been proving popular throughout the season and in the coronavirus break, with them offering large deposit matches, live casinos, classic and video slots and much more. This trend is likely to continue following the Championship season drawing to a close.

Having kept our place in the Championship this season and with us losing tour young star, the board will need to seriously evaluate targets and how they will take the club forward.

With us having just announced the signing of Aitor Karanka to take over from Pep Clolet, who comes in with a wealth of experience in the second tier having managed Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest previously, the board will need to work positively with Karanka for new targets.

Blues need a number of players in several positions, and definitely a goalkeeper – having only got one senior goalkeeper in the squad!

Our defenders had a poor end to the season, and attracted a number of critics from fans – although that was understandable, the likes of Colin, Dean and Pedersen don’t turn into bad players over night. Their poor performances were more about things not right behind the scenes in the club in my opinion. However I do think we need bolstering the back.

We also need at least one play maker, probably two, clearly to replace Jude. We’re lacking pace in the middle of the park. I also think that we need a couple of forward players. Juke has been a great servant, however if an offer comes in I think we should take it and look to create a new partnership. If Hogan wants to stay, I’d be happy to sign him. However like the middle, we need forward players with some pace – look at the impact Ollie Watkins has had at Brentford.

There have been rumours flying around the press regarding potential signings – former academy player Odin Bailey who wasn’t given the luxury of starts under Clotet; Leonardo Morosini who was a target for the blues in January and very similar energy and work rate to Bellingham; or even 21 year old Romanian attacking midfielder Dennis Man, who has been highlighted as one of Romania’s hottest prospects. The next couple of weeks will definitely need to see some action for us to be ready for the new season in September.
