Is this the Turning Point for the Club?

Yesterday it was announced that BIHL’s directors either resigned or were removed meaning that E&Y related personnel remain solely on the board of the company.

The key person on that board was Peter Pannu. Pannu who’s tenure at the club had started promising, had become a target of the fans due to the revelation of his apparent large bonuses despite the financial constraints the club had. This became worse as he seemed to lose touch with the club, and had a public spat with Daniel of Often Partisan blog. Well PP has left the building, and unlike some members of BIHL who resigned, he was removed. (I suspect there will be much celebrating among many fans!)

Panos Pavlakis has also left the board of BIHL, but the good news is that he remains a director with BCFC and seems to have left so that E&Y have full say on BIHL. Daniel explains this on Often Partisan.

So what of the Blues? Do we get sold now? Well I’m not sure it’ll be that straight forward, however this surely has to be good news. The possible coup by CY has been cut off and he now has no effect on BCFC through BIHL. The receivers are now fully in charge so it appears to me, that they now have the full say on the sale of the club. For me yesterday was a pivotal point in the club’s situation, and for once, seems to be a positive one.

The next interesting twist appears to be, who is going to buy the club?!

  1. Would love some heavy eastern investment into the club. Imagine being in the Champions league within 5 years from now and with a new stadium… insane… part of me would love that, but also part of me would not, not sure why. Could you imagine all the those Vile fans faces though… they celebrate winning a quarter final as much as we did an actual final… LOL

  2. Paul: we didn’t invade Wembley pitch lol

I hope whatever happens we just redevelop main stand and keep St Andrews. Kro.
