It has been confirmed, that as a result of the BIH adm, Peter Pannu has been voted back in as a director, with Pavlakis failing to be re-elected.
Pannu left Blues and stepped down from BIH during December. This was after he apparently posted on Often Partisan in response to a blog. Pannu had become very unpopular with the fans, after his apparent bonus information was made public along with the apparent distancing between the club and the fans.
Since taking over, Panos Pavlakis has been a positive influence at Blues. He was responsible for finally ending Lee Clark’s tenure, and bringing in Gary Rowett. Since then the on field results have been much better, with Blues sitting 4th in the Championship form table and having moved from a relegation place to mid-table.
Unlike his predecessor, Pavlakis has been more pro-active with the fans and the feel about the club has been improving week by week. With this change, I fear that this improvement will cease, especially if Pannu is re-appointed back to the club.
If Pannu does become a club director again, I genuinely don’t know what will happen. This isn’t about if he can do a good job or not any more, it is down to personality and relationship. I don’t think there is anything he can do that will repair the relationship with fans. I have said before, I actually believe that Carson Yeung DOES want the best for the club, however because of his predicament, he doesn’t realise the feeling within the fan base.
In recent years there have been a number of clubs who’s fans have suffered those include Portsmouth, Rangers, Hull, Cardiff and more recently Blackpool. We may well have to add our name to that list shortly.
There could be difficult times ahead.
The worst possible news for Blues fans. We are totally impotent and have no power to influence matters. All we can do is look on helplessly whilst Pannu sucks all the positivity back out of the club again.
Pavlakis has been like a breath of fresh air in recent months, all that will be gone soon as no doubt Pannu will force him out.
So so depressing.
If 25000 get down on Saturday and make our feelings known there. Get those banners out and a few red cards!
Im absolutely gutted and just when things seemed brighter. Im fed up to the back teeth of these people and surely there must be something that can be done. The one big thing i dont get is the constant delay in releasing yearly accounts and why the FA doesnt investigate. Surely they must realise that things are not right. My advice to Pannu is stay away from St Andrews stay away because you wìll be entering A Cauldron Of Hatred
There is something wrong when the best man for the job has to step down,this board has failed in its quest to make this club self supportive .the fans buy season tickets to be entertained .the football league should get rid of the January window as,selling your star players after fans have bought season tickets is selling under false pretence.
This was a certainty, anyone who thought we had seen the back of him is naive, why would the convict Yeung not support his right hand man and mate of many years?
The more interesting question is how Yeung voted on Pavlakis’ re-election, did he support him or not?
The FA are too busy investigating Wigan’s chairman over some minor comments rather than protecting their 92 pro clubs and their fans.
As has been shown in the past, protests involving banners and such like, have no impact on these people, whatsoever. The Board of Directors, have no interest in the supporters of BCFC and treat anything we say, with utter contempt. They will not sell the club, because they want to recoup as much of the stupid amount, that they paid for the club, as they can. Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows that nobody is going to pay that. So what they intend to do, is hold on to
the club, for as long as they can and squeeze as much money as they can, out of the club. As a result of this evil, the club will stagnate. Gary Rowett is doing a fantastic job with the team, but i’m sure he knows, we need to buy one or two higher class players to have any chance of promotion. They won’t come cheaply. A massive protest against these leaches, is required, one of which I believe, requires cutting off the money, from the club, to the directors. That is the only protest, that will get their attention, because that will also get the attention of the worlds sporting press.
