I can’t believe a year has gone since I was at the end of season dinner with Russ, however it must have done because the one we went to was PA13 and this one was called PA14. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to be there this year, so followed things via twitter.
The headlines were that Emyr Huws’ goal away at Middlesbrough was voted as the J.S Spooner Goal of the Season by guests there at the event.
Lee Novak picked up the HJ Wealth Top Goalscorer Award after scoring 11.
Darren Randolph won the Clarity Copiers True Blue Juniors’ Player of the Season, voted by the youngsters. Tom Adeyemi was named the Sytner BMW Young Player of the Season, and Demarai Gray won the Birmingham International Coaches Academy Player of the Season.
However the headline was that Paul Robinson received two awards. These were the EZE Group Players’ Player of the Season and the Nicolites Player of the Season awards.
Robbo tweeted “I am a Bluenose now and I want to finish my career at this club.” I for one hope that this happens. He has been terrific for the club, and with many young players, his experience has been and hopefully will continue to be invaluable.
