Positivity Tuesday!

Yes I know it is a strange word to use with Blues at the moment, but hey ho I’m in a good mood.

Nat posted this on the forum and I thought I should blog it:

-Nine unbeaten in the league.

-Four wins and a draw out of our last five away games in the league; our best run of away form since 94/95.

-Scored five more goals than QPR so far this season, who sit fourth and have an array of talent going forward, including Charlie Austin.

-Conceded less goals so far this season than second placed Derby County.

-Nine points off relegation, seven points off the play-offs.

-Sixty points from forty-four league games in 2013.

  1. People use stats to make things sound good or bad depending on your point of view.Post stats for home games and it looks poor, away games looks good. We’ve won 4 from 10 but only lost 1 but ultimately the only stat that really matters is were 17th,played 22 and 28 points.

  2. I’ll take the positives for the moment and hope they give the players and fans alike some confidence which can be built on. I’m a realist as well and know our limitations. I also know we can do better – especially at home. There was a time St Andrews was a ground that teams feared to come to, we need to make it so again

  3. Tonyc wins the prize for most negative 2013 we have gone nine unbeaten so he goes back ten matches to find a defeat

  4. i wasn’t trying to be negative, just pointing out that stats can be misleading.I’m alot more optimistic than i was back in august and listing 10 results wasn’t any attempt to knock what a great run were on and with abit more luck at home we could have had a couple more wins.
