Well it looks like what we all feared is going to happen. I imagine there are a lot of disappointed Blues fans, however I’m afraid this is the nature of football. We are in the position we are in and you can’t blame CH for wanting to go to a club with more stability.
I’ve been pretty supportive of the board through the last 18 months, most of the stuff that has been published about our actual financial position has been speculation. Even now now, we STILL don’t know the actual status of things. However, I fear that the loss of CH will cause scenes recently seen at our near neighbours. I hope not, but I suspect it will happen.
I think it is probably time for the board to decide if they can fund / run the Blues or if it is time to allow some one else to.
However for the record, WHATEVER happens – I WILL continue to support the Blues.
Well, it was only a matter of time, perhaps if they had managed to come up with the accounts before now this might not have happened.
After 56 years of supporting the blues nothing comes as a surprise apart from last year’s league cup win!!

This is a sorry state of affairs, I am even now regretting renewing my season tickets, CH is the best thing to have happened to Blues for years and considering he has been ‘kept up to date’ with all of the financial affairs, his decision to want to talk to Norwich speaks volumes.
This could be a really tough season coming up.

That tv documentary many months ago about buying a club,selling all the players and just using loans until you can finally sell on the club rings true to me.Yeung clearly has no interest in the well being of the club or he would have relinquished his shifty grip a long time ago.We are on a downward spiral now and lets hope the club eventually recovers from it.Good luck to CH,he has done the club proud under extremely difficult circumstances.
If, as seems likely, we lose Chris Hughton, I think it will be a case of “The king is dead – Long live the king.”
Round about this time last year, we were all in turmoil about our position. First we had been relegated, then McLeish jumped ship after saying he wouldn’t, then we had the firesale that we were told would never happen.
“What was to become of our beloved Blues?” we were all asking. “We can’t even see the tunnel, never mind the light at the end of it.” “It is all doom and gloom, we are done for.” Never to rise again.
As is normal with Blues fans, we were all in two minds about McLeish. On the one hand, there was great joy because he had gone. On the other hand, there was great anger, not only because of the way he stabbed us in the back with the method of his departure but also because he twisted the knife as much as he could by going to our most hated rivals.
Then, with the majority of Blues fans feeling on the verge of suicide, with no hope in the world and looking forward to years in the lower bowels of the league, Chris Hughton was appointed. (I seem to recall Peter Pannu had to fight to get this appointment.)
Chris brought a fresh bout of optimism to the club. Here was a gentle, honest man who was greatly respected within the game. After a few teething troubles while he settled in and merged a side of no-hopers into one of the most exciting teams we have ever had the pleasure of supporting, he led us on to things far exceeding our wildest expectations.
If, as seems likely, we lose do Chris Hughton, then I will wish him well in his new job and will be forever grateful for the work he did in the short time he was with us but, like many others on here, I have supported Blues for many, many years and I will continue to do so.
No matter what anyone else says, in order to support Blues you need to be optimistic and, that optimism leads me to believe that the club will continue and we will ride out this storm. We were in despair last year and look how the season panned out in the end. We are in despair this year but who knows what lies in store for us next season – I will just continue to live in hope and, whatever the outcome, I am sure we will all just take in our stride.
I have always been quite supportive of the board myself, always looking at my glass half full, and optimistic that things will sort themselves out.
But…..I cant stomach any more, its bad news after bad news.
I know not renewing season tickets, or demonstrating at the gates of St Andrews is detrimental to the club, but Ive come to the end of the Road, almost past caring, lets just take our fall, and see where we are after that, this slow death is killing me, and whatever my fellow Noses decide to do in protest, if it brings all this turmoil to ahead, I’ll be happy about that.
Im so god damn Angry, and fed up with all this Crap, not just about CH leaving, but the cumulative catalog of errors and bad news that I wake up to each day.
I love my club, and always will, it breaks my heart to see us in this mess, when will it end??

He bought the club from 2 crooks who could not believe their luck.Sullivan and Gold bought the club for 1 pound.
As supporters we should get together and bring a lawsuit against the football authorities and such who told us these were good honest people fit to run our football club.

(example OJ Simpson but now he is feeling the sqeeze they are putting on him he had bought some time perhaps waiting for a deal,promotion who knows There’s no smoke without fire.

Whilst I am as disheartened, and dissillusioned as everyone, I think that we have to admit there was an inevitability around CH leaving. He has never yet released any comments to my knowledge announcing his intentions to stay or otherwise, so can we really be that surprised? However, I wish him well for giving us an enjoyable season.
I think Taz makes some very good points, and is very positive. I am just finding it difficult to feel the same right now. The main issue for me is that no-one of any managerial worth will want to touch us with a bargepole at the moment, and that for me was our only hope of keeping the squad together. I am fearful that without a proven leader, will be seeing another exit of any quality that we have. The players have been quick to praise CH and are on record as saying how much he has helped them this season. How many of them will want to stay?
I know we have been here before, and we will be back eventually. It’s just so frustrating to think we may have turned a corner with our first meaningful trophy (in football terms) in my lifetime, only to see a bright future snatched away from us. All we can do now is sit and take what’s coming, try and cure the disease and start all over again, hopefully with someone within whose hands we may be safe. But until then, the players that do stay need and deserve our support, as does whoever takes over. After all, none of this is their doing?

I presume you’re so busy gloating at the acquisition of the ‘internationally reknowned’ Paul Lambert to remember you were so nearly relegated last season?
I also presume you ‘know’ you’re safe from relegation next season? And you ‘know’ that you will ‘never’ face administration or league one yourselves?
Further, that the very fact you seem to NEED this site to cheer yourselves up demonstrates JUST HOW DISMAL it’s been at your own club.
Just a thought.
On the potential departure of Chris Hughton:
1) He may not go.
2) If he does, it’s time those of us who said “I wouldn’t blame him for not going, transfer embargo, etc, etc” put their money where their mouth was
3) Yeung may well end up cleared, and those who are insulting him may well regret such. I for one will leave his innocence/guilt in the hands of the courts. The Chinese legal system should hang its head in shame if he’s innocent, business interests shredded, house repossessed, etc. If he’s guilty then HE is getting his just desserts, but our club is not.
4) As has been pointed out previously, we had an AMAZING season, possibly due to the low point caused by the departure of Big Eck. Perhaps CH’s departure – if he doesn’t refuse Norwich’s terms – could provide us another pressure-free season?
5) Remember when we sold TF and we said we’d never win a trophy? Remember when Gill Merrick went and we thought we’d never see a good manager at St Andrew’s again?
6) Remember when we were in ‘Division Three’ and thought we’d never get to the ‘First Division’ again?

Do you remember Ken Wheldon? Do you remember the Mark One Kumars? Do you remember Lou Macari leaving? Do you remember playing the team I can’t rememberthe name of ( Scunthorpe or Gillingham or some other division 4 outfit) on a freezing Tuesday night in December 1991 with only 2000 or so at St Andrews? (I was repping around Birmingham at the time so I managed to get a night game in – could have picked a better one couldn’t I) God, Those were bad days, so I keep today in perspective. For all their faults Golds and Sullivan left us in a much better place than they found us, sold us on to CY for a premium that no bluenose would turn a bluenose up at, and just because the nob end is allegedly a crook ( but not allegedly a nob end) that is no reason to undervalue what a proposition BCFC still is-good infrastructure, some decent human assets and fantastic goodwill ( in the fan base) Though you’re tired and weary, still journey on….
