Mike penned his brief thoughts, obviously just after I left his house to drive home! I thought I would add mine.
I intend to do a full blog later, but here are some thoughts for now.
The atmosphere was awesome, Keep Right On was SO loud. We had fantastic seats, right behind the goal and just above the big screen.
We gave 110% all through the game. Yes we weathered the storm in the 2nd, but hey that’s what you have to do. Foster was brilliant. But we never gave up, something that Alex has bought into this side. Also Alex’s tactics and substitutes were spot on.
It was a terrific day, and I was there – brilliant.
A full blog to come later.
Great game…tireless work ethic with some great football played showing to all and sundry that we are not just route one.
I had to listen to the first 10 minutes on the radio (annoyingly had to drop the in-laws off at Heathrow despite me telling them NOT to book their return flights on the Sunday) and that maestro commentator, Alan Green, was laying into Zigic saying that he made most average players look like Messi – not just once but on several occassions. I was watching it on the box when he scored and also was involved in the 2nd – I would have loved to have heard Alan Green eat humble pie.
Kevin – did I hear you being interviewed on 5 Live this morning? You sounded a bit hoarse, mate!
KRO
You did hear me yes! I had to get up early for that. 🙂 I AM hoarse lol!
(I’ve amended your first comment)
It was an absolute joy to be involved in the match atmosphere, and share the winning moment with my Son and Friends.
What a match, what a result.
It’s been over 15 hours since we won a Cup, we should be planning for the next one 😉
KRO!
