I don’t know if it’s because I’m from Shirley, I’ve always had a soft spot for the Sky Blues. They have had a decent record against us, and in fact beat us the last time they played at St Andrews the last time we were in the Championship.
Today will be a story of team changes. As I type this, it looks like the Blues will line up in a 442 formation as follows:
Doyle, Parnaby, Ridgewell, Murphy, Jiranek, Bentley, Beausejour, Hleb, Fahey, Phillips and Zigic. On the bench Foster, Mutch, Jerome, Larsson, and Debyshire.
I don’t think anyone can argue with that. Johnson and Foster deserve a break and Jiranek deserves another run out, (I wonder if he’ll get a regular game now.)
Although the side is virtually completely different from Wednesday, all of the players COULD and WILL play in the 1st team this season. You have to say that they should prove too difficult for Coventry who haven’t had the best of seasons so far.
It’ll be good to see McSheff back, and I hope he gets a good reception
I’m going for a 2-1 victory for the Blues.
