COME ON YOU BLUES (Fans!)

Right, time for a rallying call!

There is a lot of negativity around at the moment amongst Blues fans on the sites, twitter etc and perhaps some of it is justified. HOWEVER we are about to go into a REALLY important month for the club.

Tomorrow evening we have the 2nd leg of the Carling Cup semi where at half time we are a goal down to West Ham. There are 90 minutes, (or a possible 120), to go and if we win we are in a major cup final again. Forget formations, forget which player goes where, tomorrow night is about YOU the fans. It’s YOU that’s going to make the difference.

Whatever team is picked, whether there are players you like or dislike, whether it is the formation you’d prefer or not – it’s time to raise the wall of sound at St Andrews and give the players a huge lift.

We have come from behind to win games lots of times, and tomorrow we can do it again!

Going forward, February is huge. Coventry on Saturday in the 4th round of the FA cup then Man City at home the following mid-week closely followed by games against West Ham, Stoke, Newcastle and Everton – all games we can get results in.

Things can look a lot different by the end of the month, so forget finances, forget transfers, forget who owns what shares and where – NOW is the time to get behind the club.

AS YOU GO THROUGH LIFE IT’S A LONG LONG ROAD…

  1. Fantastic, that little speach made me even more proud to be a blue nose. Lump in throat hand on heart stuff. COME ON BLUE NOSES, KRO.

  2. Kev, an inspiring speech similar to those made in 1940 by Winston Churchill when we took on Johnny Foreigner!!
I will parody one of those speeches and say:- ‘Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, so that if our beloved club lasts for a thousand years, men will still say:-

    THIS WAS THEIR FINEST HOUR’.

    KRO.

  3. Feck out, Kev in!!

Thats the last negative thing to come out of me for the next 30 hours at least!!!

  4. Well said Kev! Whatever happens tomorrow I’d like to add something that Rudyard Kipling wrote in his epic poem ‘IF’

‘If you can meet with triumph and disaster,
And treat those two imposters just the same,
You’ll be a man my son!’

    COME ON YOU BLUES!

  5. Here’s a deal, chaps.
We’ll roll over for you tomorrow night if you take back Gold, Sullivan and Karren (yeah, right luv) Brady.
Thanks for that little gift. We’ll do the same for you one day.
    Enjoy the tussle…should be fun.

  6. No thanks Lofty. I’d like to think we can do it on our own. As a goodwill gesture we’ll let David Gold into the ground this time.

  7. So long as we find your forwards in our defenders pockets, I’ll be happy. Enjoy the game Lofty and if you’re coming up, have a safe trip.

  8. I’ve had a strange almost surreal calm come over me , either that or I’m having a stroke ?…
No seriously , I suddenly feel that despite all that I have recently disagreed with, regarding Eck’s purchases and non – purchases , tactics etc , he is the man to take us to Wembley , so I’m putting all negative thoughts aside for tonight , and remembering why my parents took me , and I’ve taken my kids to St Andrews for the best part of 5 decades and getting totally behind the team , regardless of the inevitable shortcomings that will occur , and Keep Right On!……..
