Blues v Them Post Match Thoughts

After the performance against Millwall was a bit anxious about this one. From pretty early on though, we looked much keener and looked “up for it,” which was good to see.

Notable performances were Jota, Ndoye, who was man of the match by the way and not Whelan, and Vassell before he went off. I can see Vassell and Jota causing havoc when they are match fit. Adams also worked really hard.

We definitely had the better of the game, and should have won it. They did hit the bar twice, but lets remember shots hitting the woodwork are NOT on target (despite what the BBC statistics say). Kuszczak only had to pull off one real save.

While we we not in great form in front of goal at the moment, we are creating more chances now and beginning to look a lot more solid at the back. This WILL produce victories. I feel a lot more positive than I did before, and I’m convinced that as the new players bed in, we will start winning games and move up. I am hopeful that the play-offs are still an achievable target.
