The new fixtures are up and can be seen on the official site. We start with a trip to Sunderland and the first home game is against Blackburn. It’s not too difficult a start and we end with a good run of winnable home games but Christmas looks tricky. The Villa games are in October and January and the first trip to the Hawthorns for a few years will be on September 18th, unless it’s moved by Sky or the police.
The biggest dissapointment for me is that the away trip to Blackpool is on a Tuesday night in January. Not the time when you want to be going to the seaside!
What do people think of the fixtures? We have to play everyone eventually so does it really matter what the order is?
