Player of the Season results

The vote is now closed and we can announce that the Joys and Sorrows player of the season with 36% of the vote is our midfield general Barry Ferguson.  Second was Joe Hart and third was Roger Johnson.  Between them those three received 80% of all votes cast.

I personally voted for Barry as I believe he has made the biggest difference to our team this season with his assured displays in the middle of the park and his range of passing.  The defence as a unit were excellent and I’d like to give a special mention to Liam Ridgewell as the most improved player of the year.

Look out for our player of the decade poll later in the week.

  1. I think many of the Blues players could of won the vote this year, but I am very suprised not to see Lee Bowyer mentioned there or come close. For someone who had to win over some fans @ the start of his time at the Blues then to score a couple of important goals for us! What i like most about him is his work ethic, still getting around the pitch as he did this year and throwing himself into tackles while keeping himself out of trouble.
