So it’s Man Utd away first up. Oh well get it out of the way early I suppose. I’m a bit dissapointed that our first home game is on a Tuesday night although that’s quickly followed by the first relegation six pointer against Stoke.
Having our last two home games against Hull and Burnley could be crucial. The first derby’s early as well.

This is a good time to play them, we will be unknown to the league and especially united seeing as we won’t have played a game, this should make it easier to at least get a point.
Hopefull we will be well rested.
As people have said,its the best time to play em,before they get into any kinda stride,we have to meet em some time aswell!!!.

I recall we played Manchester United at Old Trafford on the first day of the season following promotion in 1972. We were expected to turn up, take a beating and go away again. We scored first and gained a creditable 2 – 2 draw. So nothing is impossible. I agree with Darren that much depends on whom we sign that will determine what points we take where. I believe the board are working hard to bring quality in and we have to trust to their judgement and that of the manager.
