Takeover Talks AGAIN! BCFC Confirm Approach

The last time we were in the Premier League the whole takeover thing took so long, it had a major impact on the club. As a result even if it wasn’t the main reason for our relegation, it clearly was a major contributing factor. It also caused the manager to walk away.

Here we are just preparing for our return and guess which story pops out of the woodwork again! Mr Yeung has retained a 29.9% stake in the club, and a certain red top has suggested that he is about to make a £70 million bid for the club.

So what has changed since last time? Previously Mr Yeung was unable to find the money to buy out the club by the set date – and that was for some £20 million less – if the figures are to be believed. Since then we have entered a credit crunch / worldwide recession. It makes me very nervous about the consortium’s ability to buy and invest in the club.

As more news is announced, we will keep you informed.

  1. In all honesty, for me it depends on the number of hoops our current board make Yeung jump through.

Last time, we were led a merry dance whilst he attempted to scrape the money together – which ultimately failed. The side show caused the eyes of the board to be taken off the ball which contributed to our relegation.

The board are happy where they are, they are not desperate to sell and they will make Yeung jump through far more hoops this time. They won’t let him get past the initial stages this time without being 100% sure that he has the finances to complete the deal, and the finances to take Birmingham City forward.

    I’m not worried yet.

  2. here we go again didnt yeung get the message last time WE DONT WANT HIM and the timing isnt exactly great. wots he trying to do wreck the club. be warned we could end up playing in the hong kong league . after all who wants to be well known in china. i say lets get rid of him and his cronies forever. i for one am very worried …………. after all he couldnt produce the monies last time why is this year any different

  3. I’m still to be convinced that Yeung is anything but a fantasist and will do anything for the club other than distabilise it.
